For Valentine's, John and I went out to dinner and to the playhouse Desert Star. They did a parody on the Lord of the Rings. Overall I enjoyed it and John loved it. On Valentine's day my grandpa was in town (future post) and we went to Thai Village for some delicious Thai food and then Cold Stone for dessert.
For gifts John gave me a wonderful flower and amazing chocolates. I got him an ice cream maker! So I was really lame and couldn't keep a secret until Valentine's so I gave it to him two days early. Despite giving him his gift early, we just got to making ice cream today.
(We used raspberries we picked ourselves.)

(Don't you love this picture of John?)
We made white chocolate raspberry and mint chocolate chip. We were like giddy little children as we watched the ice cream turn in the machine. We were so nervous that it wouldn't work out, or worse, not taste good. But as time passed it thickened and we think that it is yum!
John loves ice cream so I thought this would be fun and so far it has been! We haven't tried the mint because it is spinning right now, but I'm sure it will be good.
(We died the mint light blue instead of green, just to be different.)
I see many new ice cream flavors in our near future. I really want to try cake batter and banana toasted coconut!
Hey why weren't we invited? We could of brought strawberries frozen from our garden last summer.
