Garden Plans

I'm so excited this year to have a garden! John and I did one two years ago and did really well. The only downfall was that some people thought it was a community garden and stole my food. I sometimes hope they were starving people that I helped save, but I doubt it.

With our huge yard John and I are going big (at least that is what is planned.) We are going to do 6 garden boxes with over 12 different veggies and fruit and to build a simple green house to go over it all.

So far we have 2 blueberry bushes, 2 raspberry bushes, and one grape vine going and next weekend we are going to start all of our other seeds. I can't wait to see fresh food!!

  1. I can't wait to come get some food LOL! No, seriously, we have a garden. Let me know how the blueberries do. We've had ours in for at least three years and last year we finally got like two blueberries. I'm about to rip them out and grow something that will actually grow. Anyway, good luck with your garden!

  2. Our strawberries are blooming...and blueberries are budding! I'm so excited for your venture. Our Lehi garden admittedly, I only really focused on salsa ingredients. Our tomatoes were crazy good every year, peppers, and we did have some fruit trees. So...after 9 summers here, I moved our 8 3x8 boxes this year. ? Crop rotation...yeah...that's it. I prefer keeping a closer eye on them - so now I can see them from the kitchen window, a bit more peaceful to work in their new little corner as well. Thinking of ya when I'm out there!

  3. Yes, good luck! It is so nice to get food from the back yard! We have been doing herbs and spices along with fruit and veg and it has been awesome! I would really recommend it!
